Bio

Thomas (Thom) C. Addington (they/them) serves as Director of Advising and Coaching at Loyola University New Orleans. A native Virginian, Thom comes to Loyola from Richard Bland College of William & Mary, where they held various academic and administrative positions including Assistant Professor of English, Chair of the Languages & Humanities department, Director of Student Success, and Co-Chair of the Racial Justice & Equity Task Force.

Thom acts as Assistant Editor of the College Language Association Journal (CLAJ), as a reviewer for Caribbean Conjunctions: The Caribbean Studies Association (CSA) Journal, and as Bibliographic Support for the August Wilson Journal. They also maintain membership in the College Language Association, the Toni Morrison Society, and the Association of Caribbean Women Writers and Scholars. Thom loves reading to others (and being read to), watching movies that make them cry, and the "surf and turf" po' boy at Domilise's.
