Serving the Gulf and Beyond

Center for Environmental Law

Loyola’s Center on Environment, Land, and Law (CELL) brings together dedicated students, inspiring professors, expert lawyers, and active members of the community to study and respond to the Gulf Coast’s most challenging environmental problems.

The Gulf region offers one of the richest and most demanding geographies for environmental work. From fighting toxic pollution to restoring the marshes to expanding urban hydroponic farms, CELL focuses on improving the health and welfare of Gulf communities and the quality of the surrounding environment.
